The Ningaloo Experience

Where the Desert
Meets the Sea

The Ningaloo Coast is one of Australia's last true wilderness frontiers — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape where ancient spinifex plains give way to pristine turquoise waters. It is also one of the continent's most extraordinary birding destinations.

We offer intimate small-group birding tours and hands-on photography workshops led by passionate local naturalists who know every salt flat, mangrove creek, and rocky outcrop. Whether you're a seasoned twitcher chasing a rare lifer or a photographer seeking that perfect golden-hour shot, we'll take you there.

"The light here in the late afternoon is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Golden, warm, and absolutely alive."

Founder & Lead Guide

Justin grew up in Queensland but fell in love with Exmouth on his first visit — and never really left. He spent two years as an underwater photographer on whale shark tours, a chapter that sharpened his eye for light, timing, and the precise moment a creature does something extraordinary.

His photography has been published in National Geographic. But it's the birds that have become his true calling. Exmouth's wild coastline and ancient spinifex country give him endless reasons to stay — and endless subjects to chase at first light.

Absolutely incredible. We spotted a Wedge-tailed Eagle within the first twenty minutes, and it only got better from there. Our guide's knowledge was extraordinary — this is the best wildlife experience I've had anywhere in the world.

We came for the birding but left completely in love with the whole landscape. The sunset tour was magical — the light on the coast is something I'll never forget. Already planning to come back for the full-day workshop.

As a birdwatcher who's done tours on four continents, I can honestly say this stands among the finest. Tiny groups, unhurried pace, and a guide who is genuinely passionate. Worth every kilometre of the drive to get here.
